Research conducted by Bright Labs, a data resource center, and reposted on the online news site Mashable ranked Florida’s High Tech Corridor as the fourth largest “hot spot” for tech jobs in the U.S. The data compares technology job postings in our region with those in other major hubs like Silicon Valley, Silicon Alley in New York City and Dulles Tech Corridor which were ranked first, second and third respectively. The article noted the Florida High Tech Corridor’s “mix of aerospace, digital media and energy companies” which had a total of 7,752 tech jobs posted during the period of January to August 2012.
I encourage you to take a look at the full article, which includes a graphical map of our region beating out a number of other recognized regions such as Research Triangle in North Carolina (ranked eighth), Boston’s Route 128 (ranked 10th) and Austin (ranked 12th).
