How can you help?
Florida HOSA–Future Health Professionals will hold its State Leadership Conference at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, March 26-29, 2015. Over 3,000 students at the middle, high school and postsecondary levels, along with their advisors, and alumni are expected. Students are putting the final touches on their health care projects and speeches, as they will partake in over 55 competitive events! Our Expo and Scientists’ Corner is March 27 from 9:00am until 4:00pm. We are reaching out to the extensive Central Florida healthcare community and encouraging involvement with HOSA at the local and state levels to make this pipeline stronger by:
· Providing 1-2 professionals/scientists as volunteers for an hour or two during the Scientists’ Corner who would bring a “cool” prompt from their profession (e.g. lab equipment) or hands-on activities that will spark the students’ interests.
· Volunteering as a competitive event judge by evaluating students’ skill performances.
· Increasing our awareness about your internship, shadowing, and job opportunities, in which students can participate and your facilities for touring and hands-on experience.
· Becoming an exhibitor or sponsor of our conference activities.
· Providing you with opportunities to connect with youth, who are passionate for healthcare, to volunteer for your special events.
· Proving opportunities to exchange information and stay up to date on healthcare issues, career, and education trends through social media platforms such as Facebook and newsletters and more.
