SPACE FLORIDA to Award $100,000 to I² Participant

Application deadline extended one week!

The I2 Capital Acceleration Program is now accepting applications from Florida-based, small to medium-sized companies in the aerospace, aviation, biotech, life sciences, clean tech, alternative energy, defense, homeland security, information technology and telecommunications sectors.  The focus of I² is to prepare Florida’s most promising, high-tech companies for investment.  With I² support businesses get access to industry expertise, customer contacts, qualified investors and experienced “been there, done that” technology start-up executives who understand what it takes to raise investment capital in Florida.

On September 7, 2011, I² will bring together a targeted audience of venture capitalists, angel investors and business development executives for the I²2 Capital Acceleration Program Showcase.  Space Florida plans to award $100,000 to a selected company presenting at the I² Showcase.  Up to twenty-four of the selected sector companies will present their business cases and/or exhibit during the Showcase event.

The I² Capital Acceleration Program is a collaboration between Space Florida and the Technological Research and Development Authority.  Funding is provided under a U.S. Department of Commerce financial assistance award to Space Florida.
