Lockheed Martin Corp.‘s Orlando operations have landed new business worth nearly $14 million to perform maintenance and equipment support services to the Army and Navy, the Department of Defense said this week.
The Army awarded Lockheed Missiles & Fire Control Orlando a contract worth $7.9 million for inspection, refurbishment and other high-tech maintenance work related to the Apache helicopter’s navigation and weapons-targeting system.
Lockheed Missiles employs about 4,000 at its Sand Lake Road facilities in south Orlando. It is Bethesda, Md-based Lockheed’s largest operation in Florida.
In a separate deal, Lockheed’s Orlando high-tech training division said it received a $5.9 million Army deal to perform field and depot support services for the Apache chopper’s weapons system.
