Dear Carla,
On behalf of the Central Florida Navy League in Orlando Florida, I wanted to express my appreciation for your outstanding efforts in support of our charitable activities. Because of your involvement and dedication, we are able to continue our charitable outreach to Active Duty, NJROTC and Sea Cadet units, and the Wounded Warrior Project. You also ably represented our Council at the National Navy League Convention and Awards Ceremony and were crucial to our 236th Navy Birthday Ball Celebration which had record-setting attendance.
I am especially grateful for your personal dedication to our Lone Sailor Memorial to be built on the site of the former Recruit Training Center (RTC), Orlando. You were a key member of the Lone Sailor/Wounded Warrior 5K run that raised considerable funds and raised public awareness. In November, you presented an especially powerful recounting of your days as a recruit at RTC; your outreach will help in our fundraising drive necessary to complete the project, and personalizes why we need the memorial.
You are a great ambassador for both the Navy League and the National Center for Simulation.
