University High School in Orlando was given a check for $2,000.00 to support their two robotics teams. NCS, a Partner in Education with UHS, provided sponsorship to TeamFETCH (Girls Team) and RoboGT (Boy’s Team) for FIRST Robotics League expenses enabling them to operate and compete throughout the school year.
Hank Okraski, NCS Board Member and Chair of the NCS Education and Workforce Development Committee, presented a letter signed by Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Tom Baptiste, NCS President/Executive Director, and check to UHS Principal, Dr. Anne Carcara. In attendance were members of the robotics teams, Sunny Simmonds, NAWCTSD, Abdul Siddiqui, PEO STRI, both team coaches, Ms. Krista Book (Boys Team) and Danielle Miller (Girls Team), Assistant Principals Ryan Barth and Paul Bryant.
