SAIC lends simulation expertise to US Army
SAIC will provide a range of modelling and simulation services to the US Army.
Five-year deal for SAIC includes delivery of live, virtual and constructive
modelling and simulation to the US Army.
SAIC is conducting modelling and simulation systems engineering work for
the US Army under a new $800 million contract, the company announced on 7
April.
It was awarded a five-year contract to support the Army Combat Capabilities
Development Command, Aviation & Missile Center (DEVCOM AvMC),
Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate.
Work will include delivery of live, virtual and constructive modelling and
simulation, data science and system-of-systems modelling and simulation
architecture.
SAIC will also run experiments for battlespace effectiveness, missile defense
and multi-domain operations system-of-systems, as well as combatant
command modelling and simulation-based exercises, wargames and training.
‘Tasks under this contract may also involve related non-US systems’ as well
as simulation and modelling support for all branches of the US armed forces, it noted.
