Short Notice but a Potential Business Development Opportunity forwarded by NTSA!

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – 1-800-273-TALK (8255) – is a 24-hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.  By dialing 1-800-273-TALK, the call is routed to the nearest crisis center in our national network of more than 150 crisis centers.  The Lifeline’s national network of local crisis centers, provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals day and night.  The Lifeline is administered by Link2Health Solutions, Inc. (L2Hs), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mental Health Association of New York City.  Lifeline’s grant is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

The Lifeline has issued an RFP (see: http://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/app_files/Media/pdf/Simulation%20Tr…) for the development of a Simulation based training that will assist crisis center staff in development of the skills necessary to assess and effectively respond to individuals who may be at risk for suicide.
