Southeastern Data Achieves ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 Certification.
Certification demonstrates commitment to quality and environmental management.
Oviedo, Florida – E-waste recycler and management consultant Southeastern Data announces
that it has achieved the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 9001:2008
certification for Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001:2004 certification for Environmental
Management Systems. According to Southeastern Data President Allan S. Jackson, these
achievements demonstrate the company’s deep commitment to quality processes, client
satisfaction, and environmental stewardship.
Jackson, who became owner and president of Southeastern Data in 2008, views these latest
certifications as an important milestone for his company. “The process for earning these
certifications is rigorous but highly important, especially in our business,” states Jackson. “Our
clients trust that their e-waste is being cost-effectively and appropriately managed by an
environmentally sensitive and responsible recycling partner. Pursuing world-class processes like these represent the next stage in our company’s evolution.”
ISO 9001:2008 and 140001:2004 are voluntary certifications based on globally accepted and
implemented standards. ISO 9001:2008 provides a set of standardized requirements for a quality management system for the purpose of consistently satisfying customers’ expectations. ISO 14001:2004 provides a framework for a holistic, strategic approach to the organization’s
environmental policy, plans, and actions. Both certifications address organization processes,
recordkeeping, monitoring, and continuous improvement. ISO 14001:2004 also addresses
environmental regulatory compliance.
