TAPE ACQUIRES FLORIDA BASED STRONG POINT RESEARCH
Acquisition Shores Up TAPE Modeling, Simulation & Training Capabilities
WASHINGTON, DC | October 7 2013 – Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE), an Inc. 500 | 5000 fastest-growing company, announced today that on October 1, they acquired Strong Point Research, a government contracting firm based in Orlando, Fla. Strong Point Research is well known for its modeling and simulation, and training capabilities. The company’s experience in providing mission-critical systems, applications, and engineering services, compliments TAPE’s systems engineering expertise in the areas of management, professional, and technical services.

For seven years, Strong Point Research has been providing services to the Army’s largest training, modeling and simulation projects, in support of the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA). Comprised of more than 20 employees, Strong Point Research will become a division of TAPE, adding to TAPE’s already impressive in-house body of expertise. Both companies anticipate a seamless transition for Strong Point Research customers as Mary Steer, the existing president of Strong Point Research, will join TAPE’s Executive Team. Steer will assume the role of vice president of Training, Modeling, and Simulation, and will report to TAPE’s executive vice president and general manager.
