Leasecake Inc. has closed a $3 million investment round that will expand its commercial real estate software, the company announced Feb. 16.
The Winter Park-based firm was founded in 2017 at entrepreneurship competition Startup Weekend Orlando as a property management platform. Leasecake since has expanded to offer “location management” software, which allows businesses to manage services related to their workspace, co-founder and CEO Taj Adhav told Orlando Business Journal. This includes insurance renewals, safety inspections and managing business licenses.
Thanks to the seed investment round led by Fort Lauderdale-based Las Olas Venture Capital, Leasecake further will develop its software to provide services beyond lease management and appeal to any business that rents or owns commercial real estate. Plus, the company plans to double its employee count this year, Adhav added.
